Christmas isn’t Christmas for me without whipping out a Christmas jumper, but for me it has to be non-tacky and minimal. After a hunt on ASOS, I found my dream Christmas jumper and have to share it with you because it’s beautiful.
This post is in collaboration with Holly Da Silva. We each have chosen a Christmas outfit to style for every day wear because Christmas jumpers 100% can be fashionable and it’s Christmas Jumper Day! Holly has a wonderful blog where she writes about beauty, lifestyle, travel and she’s also taking part in Blogmas this year so make sure you grab a cuppa and catch up!
My Christmas Jumper Pick
I’m sure you’re dying to know which jumper I picked, right? Well, it’s this beauty from ASOS – ASOS Design Charity Christmas Jumper for ASOS Foundation. The Petite version for all us small gals out there is currently down to £15 on sale which is superb, and the standard jumper is £22. And what is better still is that £5 for every jumper sold is donated to charity. Christmas is all about giving and this is a great way to do so.
It’s a rich, navy jumper with a crew neck and ribbed hems. The vibrant holly detailing positioned on the boobs is fun and a quirky trend we have seen a lot on t-shirts over the last year. This is a simple jumper, but this is why I love it so much – I could probably wear this after Christmas and no-one would really bat an eyelid. Minimalism is a style I adore and I know I will have this jumper in my wardrobe for a good few years at least.
How I Styled the Jumper – Outfit #1
For my first look, I’ve decided to go for an outfit that could easily be worn at a Christmas Jumper Party or a night out on the dance floor. I teamed this Christmas knit with a red tartan skirt that I purchased at Primark for £8 (incredible) and I think that this takes this outfit to the next festive level. Tartan is such a wintery print and red couldn’t be a more festive colour. I think the dark colour of the navy and the vibrancy of the red works really well together and really helps jazz up the simplicity of the jumper. Team this with a pair of heels or heeled boots and a clutch bag and you are ready to jingle-bell-rock the night away.
For my next style, I have opted for something a little more casual – think of a chilled Christmassy day of putting up the tree and baking cookies or going for a walk in the fresh, crisp air – and paired this amazing festive knit with a black pair of mom jeans, o-ring belt and pair of black hi-top Converse. My holy grail trainers, for sure. To finish, I’ve popped on my Jack Wills bobble hat in this gorgeous forest green shade, perfect for this time of the year. The green of the hat helps draw out the leaves of the holly on the jumper. I couldn’t think of a better winter day outfit for when you want to be comfy and cosy.
