I’m back with another fashion based post in collaboration with Holly Da Silva. We each chose an item of clothing from ASOS for each other that was out of our comfort zones but wanted to see each other in. The mission was to choose an item that fit in with the Spring/Summer 19 fashion trends and then style it up.
The clothing piece that Holly picked out for me is this striking Zebra print playsuit. Zebra print and clashing prints are going to be all the rage this spring so she really smashed the brief.
The Playsuit
The playsuit itself is monochrome which I’m all about – I love wearing black – but this is certainly not something I would pick out for myself due to the pattern. But I kind of dig it. Clashing pattern is a trend that I think is so much fun and I think this playsuit pulls this off perfectly. The flared flute sleeves give a little extra to the outfit and teamed with a high neck, it’s great for those colder spring days.
I do really like this playsuit and feel like it could definitely become part of my wardrobe but it was a little bit too large for me, unfortunately (I’m between a size 6 & 8 so this happens often). I think if you usually are a size 8, this would fit you amazingly.
The Styling
When I saw the playsuit, I knew straight away I wanted to add a touch of colour to really make the outfit stand out.
I opted for orange as this is another Spring/Summer trend that we are going to see everywhere. I found this gorgeous Monki satin headband in a burnt orange shade that matches the boots that I also purchased.

Oh my goodness, the boots are gorgeous. I fell in love with them instantly when I opened the box. They are orange leather, pointed toe boots with gold buckle detailing on the side and a slighted curved block heel. They are just everything I’m after in a boot and more.
In a perfect world, I also would’ve styled this outfit up with a black O-ring belt, but I couldn’t find mine so that’s that.
And there is my Spring/Summer 19 outfit! I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. This was quite a fun post to put together so if you would like to see more My Friend Chose My Outfit posts, then please comment and let me know.
Also, be sure to check out what I picked out for Holly over on her blog here. And while you are at it, why not check out our previous fashion collaboration post here.

You suit headbands so much! xo
Thanks gal 🖤
I came here from Holly’s blog and I love this outfit on you. I’m not a huge lover of playsuits but like the monochrome look with a pop of orange.
Aww brilliant, welcome 😊 thank you! Anything monochrome I’m all over!
