Another haul? Yes! My bank account may not be happy with me at the moment but I’m perfectly fine with that.
This time, I had a shopping spree on the Beauty Bay website, which is one of my favourite ways to buy and try out new makeup products.
The main reason for my purchase was to try Zoeva eyeshadow palettes as I’ve heard great reviews on them and for such as affordable price I thought they would be perfect everyday palettes.
Zoeva Rose Golden Palette , £18.
This gorgeous palette has a range of rose gold and smokey shades which is exactly what I would wear on a day-to-day basis. I’m yet to try this palette out but I think this palette would be even better if it included a few more matte shades to help create different looks.
I love this palette. It has the perfect number of matte shades that blend like a dream, as well as very pigmented shimmers. Like the name suggests, this palette has a lovely range of rich, warm neutral shades that look good enough to eat.
I will be reviewing each of these palettes separately soon.
Next is a couple bits from Makeup Geek.
Makeup Geek Blush Compact, in the shade XOXO, £12.95.
Up until recently, Makeup Geek only made blush pans that you could pop into a Z-Palette, so when I found out they were bringing out a blush compact, I knew I wanted to try one. Just form swatching, I can tell this is going to be very pigmented, which is a little scary for someone who doesn’t wear much blusher, and the formula is so smooth and creamy. The compact itself is a metallic, gunmetal/purple shade which is almost reflective. Beautiful packaging.
Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Pan, in the shade Whimsical, £8.50.
If you haven’t tried Makeup Geek eyeshadows before, I’d recommend you trying them straight away. Their range of foiled eyeshadow pans just take it to the next extreme when it comes to pigmentation though. I have a few already and thought this one in Whimsical, a pale pink with silver shimmer, would be perfect for over the top of a purple smokey eye to make it a little more ‘wow’.
Another main reason for this haul was to try out some Milani products. Unfortunately, the foundation I wanted to try was out of stock but I did get to purchase a few other products I’m excited about.
Milani Matte Lip Cream , in the shade Precious, £8.
This is a lovely rose toned liquid lipstick that is meant to have great staying power. Even though I haven’t tested the longevity out, I did try to wash the swatch off my hand and it would not budge so it seems promising! This lipstick also has a strong vanilla scent which I love.
Milani Colour Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick, in the shade Naked, £6.
This matte lipstick is the perfect nude which won’t dry out your lips. It glides over the lips with ease and even though it doesn’t dry down completely, like a liquid lipstick might, it has a matte finish without the matte feeling – this lipstick feels so smooth and creamy on.
Milani Powder Blush, in the shade Warm Petals, £9.
Honestly, I wish I’d read the description properly before adding this to my basket. A orange coral blusher is something I lack in my collection so I thought this would be perfect. However, this has gold shimmer in it so this will unfortunately only be used as a blush topper/highlight. The packaging almost makes up for that though, look how adorable that presentation of product is!
Finally, I picked up a few products from LA Girl.
LA Girl Endless Semi Permanent Auto Eyeliner Pencil, in the shade Lilac, £2.49.
On Beauty Bay, this shade is described as a ‘deep amethyst’. I’m very into creating purple eyeshadows looks at the moment so this will help give some of my looks a little bit of edge, perhaps in my waterline, tightline or I could even replace my black liquid eyeliner and use this to create a purple wing. If I find the longevity of this product good, I will be tempted to pick up a few more in different shades.
LA Girl Endless Semi Permanent Auto Lipliner Pencil, in the shade Natural, £2.49
As the shade name suggests, this is a natural, nude lipliner which will be great to wear under any lipstick, especially my nude shades, such as the Milani bullet I bought in this haul. I’m hoping this will also be useful for overlining my lips if I ever find it necessary.
LA Girl PRO.Conceal HD High Definition Concealer, in the shade Light Ivory, £5.
And finally, I picked up this concealer. Unfortunately, I ordered Porcelain and was sent Light Ivory, which I can tell will be too dark for me. I’m disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this out but I should be able to return this and get the shade I requested.
Here are the swatches of the products that I bought.
From left to right, LA Girl eyeliner in Lilac, LA Girl lipliner in Natural, Milani lipstick in Naked, Milani liquid lipstick in Precious, Makeup Geek blusher in XOXO and finally, Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Whimsical.
Have you tried any of these products? If not, what would you like to try?
Thanks for reading,
