Valentine’s Day is an excuse to get dressed up nicely and have a fun time with the person you care about and/or friends. Galentines Day is just as special!
For me, I love Valentines Day for stepping out of my comfort zone and wearing colours, like pinks, that I wouldn’t normally wear but feel like I can get away with this one time of the year.
So, I’ve teamed up with Holly Da Silva to give you our take on the best day and night Valentines Day looks. Head over to her blog to check out her gorgeous outfits!
Outfit #1 Night Time Look
If you are going out for a lovely date night to a delicious restaurant, why not take some inspiration from my evening wear look.
I came across these gorgeous magenta pink tapered trousers on ASOS and instantly fell in love. They have this wonderful O-ring belt that cinches you in amazingly. Many of you may already know that I’m not the biggest fan of pink but I think these are quite something. I knew I had to have them for my Valentines date.
I then teamed these with a playful cami top in this cute baby pink shade. The top is covered in lipstick kisses which I think is perfect for the occasion.
To finish off this look, I’ve thrown on some dusty pink heels to tie the whole outfit together.
I think this outfit is a brilliant way to show off your fun, loving side and what’s even better is that it is all super affordable!
Outfit #2 Day Time Look
My inspiration for this look is based on what I would wear for a coffee date with my girl friends or a wander around town.
I have had this J’Adore t-shirt for quite some time now and knew it was going to be what I focused this outfit around. What’s more perfect on Valentines Day than a top that says ‘I love you’ in the language of love. I love how simple and basic this t-shirt is. It can just be thrown on with a pair of jeans and you look like you’ve made somewhat of an effort.
To pair with this graphic tee, I opted for this suede style skirt in this fabulous, rich, red shade which I am obsessed with. I chucked on a red heart shaped buckle belt to tie in nicely with the theme and threw on my white heeled boots, which I think makes this outfit feel complete. I also found this beautiful Dior inspired handbag with a monogram print which I think adds a quirky side to this outfit. I just love the unique, assymetric shape and the gold hardware!
If this is even still a little dressy for you, why not throw on some tights (it is Winter after all) and Converse. The look will be casual but super stylish.
For both looks, I have chosen to rock a red lip because what else would you wear at this time of year? A red lip is sexy and will have you standing out from the crowd.
Which look is your favourite?
